We stand behind every piece we sell. If something isn't right, we'll make it right — no runaround. This policy explains exactly how our return and refund process works from start to finish.
Return Eligibility
ARAAI offers a 14-day return window from the date of delivery. To be eligible for a return, items must be in their original, unused condition — unworn, unwashed, and unaltered — with all original tags, labels, and packaging intact.
Returns are accepted for most regular-priced items. If an item arrives defective, damaged, or incorrect, it is eligible for return regardless of the standard conditions above. Please contact us within 48 hours of delivery for such cases.
Non-Returnable Items
Certain product categories are exempt from our return policy. These include: items marked as "Final Sale" or "Non-Returnable" on the product page, personalised or custom-made pieces, innerwear and items classified as intimate apparel (for hygiene reasons), and gift cards.
Items that have been worn, washed, altered, or damaged after delivery — or that are returned without original tags and packaging — will not be accepted and will be sent back to you at your cost. We reserve the right to decline returns that do not meet our eligibility criteria.
How to Initiate a Return
To start a return, log in to your ARAAI account and navigate to your Orders. Select the order and item you wish to return, choose your reason, and submit the request. You will receive a confirmation and next steps within 24 hours.
If you placed your order as a guest, email us at returns@araai.in with your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, the reason for return, and clear photographs of the item in its current condition. Our team will review your request and respond within 1–2 business days.
Please do not ship items back to us without an approved return request. Unapproved returns may not be processed and could result in the item being returned to sender without a refund.
Return Pickup
Once your return request is approved, we will schedule a free pickup from your delivery address. Pickup is arranged within 2–3 business days of approval, and you will receive an SMS and email with the scheduled pickup date and time window.
Please ensure the item is securely packaged (ideally in its original packaging) and ready for handover to the courier at the scheduled time. If you miss the pickup, our team will make one additional attempt. A third missed pickup will require you to drop the item at a designated courier facility.
Inspection & Approval
All returned items undergo a quality inspection upon receipt at our warehouse. This process typically takes 24–48 hours from the time the item is received. We check that the item matches the return request, is in the stated condition, and has all original tags and packaging.
If the return passes inspection, you will be notified and your refund or exchange will be initiated immediately. If an item fails inspection — for instance, if it shows signs of wear, washing, or damage — we will contact you with a detailed explanation. In such cases, the item will be returned to you and no refund will be issued.
Refund Method
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method used at checkout. Credit and debit card refunds, UPI payments, and wallet payments are returned directly to the source. Net banking refunds are credited back to the originating bank account.
For orders paid via Cash on Delivery (COD), refunds are processed as a bank transfer to the account details you provide. Please ensure the details are accurate — we are not responsible for refunds sent to incorrectly provided bank accounts. You will be prompted to submit your bank details via a secure form once your return is approved.
Refund Timeline
Once a return is approved and inspected, refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days. The time it takes for funds to appear in your account depends on your bank or payment provider — most banks process refunds within 5–7 business days of initiation, though some may take up to 10 business days.
UPI and digital wallet refunds are usually faster and may reflect within 1–3 business days. COD refunds via bank transfer typically take 5–7 business days after bank details are verified. You will receive an email confirmation once your refund has been initiated from our end.
Exchanges
If you would like to exchange an item for a different size or colour, you can request an exchange instead of a return when submitting your request. Exchanges are subject to stock availability — if your preferred size or colour is unavailable, we will offer you a full refund instead.
Only one exchange is permitted per order. Exchanged items are subject to the same eligibility criteria as returns and must be in original, unworn condition with tags attached. Exchange pickups and redeliveries follow the same timelines as the standard return and shipping process.
